Lawton Standard is committed to quality and sustainability, as well as being a good steward to the environment and the communities our facilities are located in.
Our family of companies boast ISO certifications, showing that very commitment.
What is an ISO certification?
ISO certification is a process manufacturers go through to show their management systems are in compliance with internationally recognized standards for quality and consistency.
A third-party auditor reviews companies adherence to the standards set by the International Organization for Standardization. The auditor reviews the company for several days before ruling if it’s management systems are ISO certified or not. The certification process happens on a regular basis, typically annually.
How does ISO certification help organizations?
ISO certification can help businesses improve efficiency, minimize risks and deliver better products and services.
The other bonus to being ISO certified, it shows customers and stakeholders that our facilities are well-run, stable and ready for growth.
Different levels of ISO certification
There are different levels of ISO certifications and Lawton Standard always strives to be at the forefront of these certifications. By doing that, we stay current and up-to-date with new or updated management system requirements.
–ISO 9001 certification is for quality management systems for products and services. It assures organizations are meeting customer and regulatory requirements and they are improving processes and services.
–ISO 14001 certification is for environmental management systems. It addresses environmental management systems to help organizations minimize ecological impact, comply with regulators and achieve sustainability goals.
–ISO 45000 certification addresses occupational health and safety management systems. This helps establish safe working environments and prevent accidents.
There are also ISO certifications for food safety standards, energy management, medical device quality standards, social responsibility, IT service management and information security standards. You can read more about ISO certifications here.
