Continuous Cast Bar Stock Grades Currently Available
CC2 Gray Class 40 (ASTM A 48)
Pearlitic/Ferritic structure with high mechanical properties, good surface finish, and hardenability (Well-suited for pressure applications such as hydraulic components).
CC3 Ductile Iron 65-45-12 (ASTM 536)
Ferritic/Pearlitic structure with excellent machinability, fine surface finish, and high strength similar to 1020/1030 steel.
CC4 Ductile Iron 80-55-06 (ASTM 536)
Ferritic/Pearlitic has a balanced structure with higher strength, similar to 1040/1045 steel. Good machinability, good surface finish, and excellent wear characteristics.
